Communication is paramount to running a smooth ship. This simple realisation was one of the primary driving factors in the development of Commusoft itself, if fact, Commusoft is just a portmanteau: Communication Software. With this in mind, we set the system up to be as all-encompassing as possible with regards to the way in which it allows you to contact your own customers. We've got emails, SMS messages, letters and templates for them all coming out of our proverbial ears!

Despite all this, we are also aware that as a job management software, we'll need to make certain sacrifices in just what features we're realistically able to build, develop, and maintain. We didn't want to decide between the high quality service we're dedicated to provide and destroying out tech infrastructure - so we compromised with our MailChimp integration.

Put simply, MailChimp is the world’s largest marketing automation platform. They send over a billion emails every day and give all types of businesses the tools they need to effectively communicate with their customers. Our integration lets us harness the power of their email features to give our customers an integration that allows them to go above and beyond what either system does independently. You can build dynamic email templates, segment your contact lists, and design targeted email marketing campaigns all through MailChimp...

Not signed up to MailChimp?

Often, when a new software pops up on your radar for whatever reason, the first question that comes to mind is 'How much is this going to cost me?', or something thereabouts. It's a fair question but MailChimp offers a completely free pricing plan that allows you to create mailing lists of up to 2,000 customers (with a limit of 12,000 emails per month too!). This means you can take advantage of our integration without breaking the bank.

Creating Campaigns...

Once you've actually integrated the two systems, you can quickly and easily export your customer list to MailChimp and start crafting your email marketing campaigns, whatever they may be for. Exporting your customers from Commusoft may entail a couple of things. You can export a list of customers or a list of contacts. If you choose contacts, you will export a list of every contact under every customer profile, this may include multiple email addresses for occupiers, employees, etc so be sure which list it is you're actually after - Customers will just include the main customer email address. When this is all done and dusted, you'll need to fill in your email address, name (use your own name or company name as opposed to an email address), subject - you might choose “Newsletter” if this is what you’ll be creating, but it may be simpler to just use “Customer list” or similar at this time, and finally ensure that your company address is filled in correctly. Once you’re happy, hit 'Save'. Your list will now be available on MailChimp.
