Introducing Commusoft voice search for Android mobile

Lauren Burgess

There’s no denying that voice search is becoming ubiquitous. It seems like every five minutes there’s an advert promoting a nifty little device that will play any song you ask it to and update your shopping list when you announce you’re out of eggs. It’s quick, convenient, and you can do it while you’re busy with other tasks.

Your engineers will often have their hands full and typing search requests on a phone keyboard can be a disruptive task. That’s why we’re happy to announce that you can now perform voice searches on Android mobiles.

It’s easy to do — simply open the side panel, click the microphone symbol in the top right hand corner and say your request when prompted. You can search by name, address (even if it’s just a partial post code) and by job description. For example, if you say “install” the app will pull up every job with the word install or installation in the description.

Check out the video below to see how it works.

This functionality isn’t yet available for iOS users but we’re working hard on rolling it out in the near future. We'll be sure to announce it as soon as it's live so keep a close eye on the product blog.
